LEADERSHIP
Ken Rosen has 20 years’ experience in sales, marketing and strategy development including executive roles in both start-ups and industry-leading companies. Ken began independent consulting in 2001 delivering corporate strategy, marketing strategy and executive coaching services, primarily to technology-industry clients.
Previously, Ken was vice president of marketing at Data Robotics (Drobo), a storage hardware company, and at Allegis, a software-as-a-service company serving large enterprises. Prior to that he was the vice president of product and brand marketing for Computer Curriculum Corporation, the world’s largest educational software publisher. Ken also held management positions at NeXT Software and Apple.
With extensive experience running organizations, Ken offers a grounded, effective approach that builds rapid credibility and delivers swift results. Ken combines this background with strategic vision, technical expertise, audience sensitivity and superior communications.
Ken earned a Master of Business Administration from Stanford and did his undergraduate work at Harvard University.
A commitment to making companies work better has established Loree as a pioneer in the fields of organizational planning, workplace strategy and change management. By integrating people, culture, work processes, brand and the environment, her services continuously have led to improved client performance. Guided by keen insight and more than 15 years of practical experience, she helps clients solve business problems with her collaborative style, strategic thinking and rigorous analysis.
Prior to co-founding Performance Works, Loree spent 12 years leading the global consulting arm of Gensler, the world’s largest design and planning firm, where she oversaw the creation and growth of innovative services in design strategy, real estate and facilities planning, organizational development and information solutions. Loree’s private- and public-sector work has delivered groundbreaking results for Fortune 500 firms, government agencies and emerging businesses alike.
In addition to a Master of Business Management from Lesley University, Loree holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her strategic planning work has been published in Architectural Record, LA Architect, Strategic Facility Planning (Random House) and the Personnel Journal, among others. She has published papers or presented in conjunction with a number of professional conferences, including CoreNet, Urban Land Institute, Neocon, Realcomm, the American Institute of Architects, FastCompany Realtime, and the Institute of Design at IIT. She has also produced a number of thought leadership client forums including: MainStreet 2020, Pioneers of the 21st C., The Future of Community Conference and ROI3.
Before Ron joined Performance Works, he was a partner at global private equity firm Apax Partners. Prior to Apax, he was Vice President of Global Marketing, Corporate Development and Investor Relations for Verity, the industry leader in enterprise information management. During his tenure, the company received the Turnaround of the Year award by the Turnaround Management Association after Verity grew its market cap from $50 million to $1.7 billion. In previous roles, Ron managed European, corporate, and higher education marketing at NeXT Computer and managed academic computing along with holding a faculty position at Brown University and the University of Maryland.
Ron is an active leader in the venture capital community. He is currently on the Board of Advisors of the Acorn Fund of the Band of Angels, Northern California’s oldest angel investment group. He is also on the executive committees of SVASE (Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs) and the Venture Capital Task Force where he chairs the Emerging Technology Forum. Venture capital firms, including LLR Partners, Apax Partners, Greycroft Partners and Trident Capital regularly request his advice on areas relating to entrepreneurship. In this advisory role, he works closely with the Venture Capital Roundtable and the Golden State Capital Network.
Ron has published and lectured extensively and was one of three industry leaders profiled in the 2003-2006 Price Waterhouse Coopers Technology Forecast. A frequent conference speaker on entrepreneurship and venture capital, he has also lectured at UC Davis’ Graduate School of Management, UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, and the University of Santa Clara.
A member of Phi Beta Kappa and a Fulbright Scholar, he earned his BA, MA, and Ph.D. degrees at the University of California at Berkeley.
